About Sonya

Sonya Verma is an integrative wellness practitioner, educator, and guide specializing in Ayurveda, mindfulness, yoga therapy, and therapeutic sound. Her work blends ancient wisdom with modern understanding to support balance, resilience, and sustainable wellbeing.

After beginning her studies in conventional medicine, Sonya expanded her path into integrative health, exploring nutrition, mindfulness, movement, and holistic healing practices that honor the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

She holds degrees in Human Nutrition, Health Services Administration, and Business Informatics, along with advanced certifications in Ayurveda, yoga therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, therapeutic sound, Reiki, and holistic wellness practices.

Through personalized consultations, classes, retreats, workshops, and immersive sound experiences, Sonya creates welcoming spaces where individuals can slow down, reconnect, and cultivate greater awareness, healing, and inner balance.

She currently facilitates programs through the Osher Center for Integrative Health at UC Health, supporting individuals and communities through mindfulness, therapeutic yoga, sound immersion, stress management, and integrative wellness education.
